The Heart Behind 3 Gen Handbags and More
Sabrina, the founder of 3 Gen Handbags and More, never imagined her life would lead to designing handbags. Her journey has been anything but ordinary. Proud Navy brats, Sabrina, her twin brother and their younger brother and sister grew up watching their father serve as a Naval Officer aboard the USS Enterprise, and their mother, once an officer’s wife, transform into a powerful community leader after her father passed away from cancer when Sabrina was just fifteen.
Sabrina’s career path wound through cake artistry, law enforcement, health research, patient advocacy, and entrepreneurship. She created cakes from scratch for her siblings, launched a gift basket service with her mother and young daughter, worked in loss prevention, law and law enforcement, and later founded an award-winning nonprofit for people living with Fibromyalgia, after becoming disabled herself due to injury-related Fibro. Through every twist, her family remained her anchor.
But the idea for her handbag brand was born in heartbreak. As Sabrina’s twin brother cared for their mother, Nana, who was fading into Alzheimer’s, she watched her ask every five minutes, “Where’s my purse?” even while holding it.
One night, staring at that worn handbag, Sabrina had a thought:
What if a bag could be more than a bag? What if it could comfort, stand out, and feel so unmistakably personal that it anchored someone even as their memories slipped away?
That moment lit a spark. Sabrina began dreaming of a line of handbags that were bold, instantly recognizable, and designed to carry meaning as much as beauty, a way to honor the women who hold families together across generations.
Grief delayed her dream. Nana passed before Sabrina’s health allowed her to bring her vision to life. For twelve years, the idea stayed tucked away, waiting.
Today, that dream has finally bloomed. 3 Gen Handbags and More celebrates the unbreakable bond between grandmothers, mothers, and daughters, between TeTes (Aunties) and nieces, between sisters, between cousins, and between besties (girlfriends).
Each bag carries not just style, but a story of resilience, love, and legacy.
